Jack Brinker —

Currently co-host of the Generation Tech podcast. After 21 years in the Air Force, he retired and began a career working for high tech companies involved with government contracting. His side gig was developing the assembler for machine code programming on the MITS Altair 8800. Which was the first personal computer ever created. His involvement with technology and early home computing started there, but included most of the early pre IBM PC home computers such as the Atari 400, Commodore 64 and Radio Shack Color Computer. Most of his interests were in early technology in operating systems OS/16 (an early multitasking OS), and COMAL an early object driven programming language. As IBM and clone PCs became the norm, he and Todd would travel to computer swap meets to buy parts to create or enhance their computers. As Apple transitioned to Intel hardware he switched to a Mac computer after talking with Todd who had gotten a Power PC based Mac mini to be able to run OS10. Now days Jack prefers his iPad to other computers for reasons he explains on Generation Tech each Monday.

Todd Brinker —

Previously co-host of the KCAA radio (CNBC affiliate) morning show "On the Brink". He was on the radio weekdays since 2018, and now concentrates on podcasts. Todd spent 15 years developing technology solutions for Gannett and Scripps Howard newspapers while supporting both PCs and Macs. Since then, he has continued to help implement technology to help medical device manufacturers, hospitals, communications and voice mail companies and international marketing firms. When Apple transitioned to OS10, he brought home a Mac mini to test it out, and quickly found it to be the preferred computer of his entire family. Now days he maintains a current version of each OS running Windows, MacOS, iPadOS, iOS, ChromeOS, Linux, Raspian and even an old DOS computer for fun, though he and his family still use Apple products for the most part. Todd also spent 8 years teaching technology, design and photography to high school students in Orange county California. He has been involved in swimming since high school, and began coaching and refereeing in college. After more than 30 years, he still coaches and mentors swimmers each week.
